I just bumped into Stevo – he asked me if I was joking about cycling the length of the country.
“Nope, it’s to raise money for Cancer Research.”
“There must be easier ways to raise money, cruvvers.” said Mr Stevo.
That’s a good point…there must be, but they wouldn’t be half as much fun. (Keep telling yourself it’ll be fun, Paul, keep telling yourself it’ll be fun. You’ll be OK.)

My brother, a long distance cyclist, (regularly rode the London to Brighton trip of a weekend), swore by newspapers down the cycling pants. I looked at him as though he was mad!
